The Crystal Cornea Award and Gift of Sight Award will be presented during the Opening Session, taking place June 8 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM, the award ceremony will occur around 12:00 pm EDT.

The Crystal Cornea Award is presented annually to individuals or organizations whose work helps the eye bank community give the gift of sight. Makala is being recognized posthumously for her efforts to promote cornea donation.

The Gift of Sight Award is presented annually to a professional who works closely with the eye banking community and whose efforts have demonstrated significant support of eye banking and corneal donation.
