Maria Woodward, MD, is a board-certified corneal specialist and Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at University of Michigan. She is passionate about the gift of sight provided by deceased persons to patients requiring corneal transplantation. Her research seeks to improve eye banking tissue processes, highlighted threats to tissue supply, and established clinical correlations of tissue characteristics and patient outcomes. Since 201, Dr. Woodward has served on the Research committee for the Eye Bank Association of America and as chair from 2016-2018 and is a past participant of the Physician Leadership Program. She serves on the research committee and medical advisory board for Eversight.
