The EBAA 2020 Annual Meeting has ended, but meeting attendees still have access to the hours of recorded educational content, which can be accessed through the agenda.

We understand that new technology can be scary and intimidating.  EBAA has strived to create a streamlined environment, enabling you to participate in a productive manner.

We hope these FAQ’s will put you at ease as you prepare for your EBAA 2020 Virtual Meeting Experience.

Login Information

What is my login info?

If you already have an EBAA account, click the LOG IN button at the top left corner of the home page. You will be redirected to the EBAA log in screen. Enter the user name and password you use to log into the EBAA Website.  If you forgot your password, you can click "Forgot Password" to reset your log in information. If you have trouble logging in, please contact Bernard@restoresight.org.

How do I access the sessions?

You should have received a confirmation email with detailed instructions. Within that email there is a link which directs you to the login area.

Alternatively, you can access any of the sessions by clicking on the “Sessions” in the top menu bar or block at the bottom of the home page.

From there, select the conference day you would like to view. Click on any session title and access the “View Session” button.  Simply click on the correct day, and click on View Session towards the right. You will be able to access 15 minutes in advance of the start time each day.

Will I be able to view the recorded archive of these virtual conference sessions?

The virtual session recordings are now available for viewing. The process will be similar to how you login for the live programs, but you will be able to view at your convenience. Access to the meeting content will end for all attendees on June 30, 2021.

Earning CEUs and CME

How do I claim my CEU credits?

Attendees can earn over 27 CEUs for attending all of the live and on-demand sessions. To earn CEUs, attendees must view all on-demand content by August 31, 2020. To claim credit, attendees must complete a survey after each session they attend. Individual registrants will be able to view their CEUs in their EBAA online account. Please allow time for the CEUs to be added to your online account. Only individuals who are registered as an individual eye banker registration can earn CEUs.

I am a Certified Eye Bank Technicians, what are the requirements to recertify?

CEBTs must earn 16 CEUs during the 3-year certification period, and fulfill the requirement of attending 2 of these sessions: Technical Skills & Quality Assurance Workshop, Scientific Symposium, Medical Directors Symposium, and Medical Advisory Board Meeting.

Physician CME

Amedco LLC designates this live activity for a maximum of 9.0 AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Physicians must attend the sessions on Saturday, June 20, live and should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Physicians must attend the live sessions when they take place to earn CME credit. To claim credit, physicians will need to complete the evaluation from Amedco. Certificates will be available for download once the evaluation is complete. To earn CME, you must be registered under the physician registration.

View the learner notification for more information including Financial Disclosure information and instruction for claiming credit.

Attendance Questions

I am a physician. What should I plan on attending?

Physician attendees are invited to attend all of the Annual Meeting programming. The sessions that they may be most interested may be the General Session, the Scientific Symposium (be sure to view the on-demand presentations first), the Medical Advisory Board Meeting, and the Medical Directors Symposium. Additional sessions of interest may include the keynote presentations, the sessions featuring unique stories about the gift of sight, the Technical Skills and QA Workshop, and the Corneal Tissue Evaluation session.

I am a medical director. What should I plan on attending?

Medical Directors are invited to attend all of the Annual Meeting programming. For EBAA Eye Bank Accreditation, Medical Directors must attend the Medical Advisory Board (MAB) Meeting and Medical Directors Symposium every three years. Medical Directors are strongly encouraged to attend the MAB Meeting and Medical Directors Symposium live, but if they are unable to attend, they may view the recordings before August 31 to meet the requirements for eye bank accreditation. A proof of attendance will be provided to the Medical Director and their eye bank following the meeting.

I’m attending on a group pass. What sessions am I eligible to attend?

Eye Banks have been provided with the opportunity to purchase a group pass enabling their entire staff to experience the Annual Meeting. As part of that group pass, a limited number of individuals will be able to attend the entire Annual Meeting live, with access made available to the entire staff once the sessions are online and on-demand. Individual participants must be designated in advance by completing the form that was submitted as part of the registration process. Individuals who attend the meeting as part of the group pass are not eligible to earn CEUs. Medical Directors & Physicians are NOT eligible to participate via a group pass.

Will EBAA Have a Virtual Meeting Code of Conduct?

Yes. We expect all attendees to behave appropriately while attending educational, governance, and networking events. Please refer to our Virtual Meeting Code of Conduct Policy.
