Teamwork Makes the Dream Work: Highlighting Partners Through Recognition Programs

The gift of sight is a result of teamwork and collaboration. Eye banks work closely with OPOs, hospitals, funeral homes, Medical Examiners and Coroners, hospices and other entities to facilitate cornea donation to provide tissue for sight restoring transplants. Honoring partners through recognition programs is a way to thank them for their role in cornea donation and transplantation and can lead to stronger relationships with those individuals or entities. Representatives from various organizations will discuss the recognition and awards programs that their organizations have created to highlight and honor their donation partners and will provide tips for establishing a program at one’s organization. Learn more about partner recognition programs and how they can provide recognition to those who go above and beyond to facilitate donation.
