The Spring Town Hall meeting features Board of Director candidate speeches and any proposed Bylaws changes, allowing House of Delegate members the opportunity to hear speeches and proposed changes before the Annual Meeting. He has 15 years of experience in eye banking across various disciplines, having worked in Recovery, Quality, Hospital Development, and Donor Eligibility. Wayne Dietz, CEBT, is the Quality Assurance Director at the San Diego Eye Bank. Yes, when he started, Eye Banks were not performing serological testing in 1985. After leaving the United States Navy he brought his surgical scrub skills to the technical department, becoming Technical Director in 1988. Prior to entering the Quality Department, Wayne was the Tissue Distribution Manager. Working with Verble Worth and Verble, he helped to establish the consent program at the Medical Examiner’s Office. He has served on the following EBAA committees: Technician Training, Technician Certification, Research and Quality Assurance.

Jennifer DeMatteo, MCM, CIC, is the Director of Regulations and Standards for the Eye Bank Association of America (EBAA). She oversees the EBAA Accreditation program, Medical Standards process and serves as their regulatory liaison. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology from the University of Pittsburgh and a Master of Science degree in Clinical Microbiology from Hahnemann University (now Drexel University). She was responsible for directing the Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) and Employee Health programs and personnel in major tertiary hospital and ambulatory care settings. Ms. DeMatteo has been a Healthcare Epidemiologist for over 20 years and is certified in Infection Control & Epidemiology (CBIC).

Paul Graves, CEBT, CTBS, was born and raised in Alabama. He joined Advancing Sight Network in July of 1997 as a Transplant Coordinator. Over the years, he has been involved in all aspects of clinical eye banking, from Laboratory Manager to Director of Laboratory Services. Today, as the Senior Vice President of Clinical Services, Paul oversees the clinical processing aspects of Advancing Sight Network, from performing tissue processing itself to developing new processing procedures to assist surgeons in the care of their patients. Paul is a Certified Eye Bank Technician and a Certified Tissue Banking Specialist. Paul currently serves on the Technician Education Committee and the Continuing Education Committee, and has previously served on the Certification Board and the Research Committee.

Jolie has been with Lions Gift of Sight since 2018, and has over 12 years of experience in donation. She currently serves on the Technical Procedures Manual Subcommittee. When not at work, Jolie enjoys snuggling with her dogs, listening to entirely too much Taylor Swift, and conducting paranormal investigations.
